Our Team
Steve Simms is the President of On-Site. His wife, Debbie Simms is the CEO providing the bigger picture. Scott Cunningham is the lead technical support contact. Additionally, around 150 technical specialists fill in the level 3 support services with specific areas of specialty when needed. Whether you're looking for search-engine optimization (SEO) or lead tracking or any other Web marketing tool, we bring you the expertise you need to put those tools to use. Steve's first degree was in computer science (C.S) from the University of Colorado CU in Boulder, CO. in 1985 (Yes punch cards were his first love) Before CU had an undergraduate CS program , many of his courses were at the graduate level. His work took him to Silicon Valley, San Jose, CA. as a software engineer. Then to San Francisco, Monterey, and Santa Cruz California. After surviving the big quake in 1989 he returned to his native home of Colorado. Reconnecting was easy because of his parents, brother and sisters all lived in the Denver area.
Steve's 2nd studies were at the master level again at CU but in environmental sciences. This is where software engineering and ecology were blended to program spectrometers used in field work and ground-truthing satellites. Coursework, studies, and work took him on a month long river trip on the Hood river to the Artic Ocean . Additionally to The University of Australia in Cambra.
Collaborative web-based software is the backbone of On-Site's business. It allows a multitude of out-sourced technical specialists to share solutions and repair outages via remote access. On-Site is virtually on-site with a client in the click of a mouse. No one person can know it all in today's IT. Knowing where to turn and when to pull in additional resource is key to On-Site's services.
With technology at Steve's core, IT consulting was a natural fit. On-Site was founded in 1995 in Lyons, Colorado. Partnerships with vendors like Microsoft and Dell created a solid backing to build a service oriented IT business around. Technology is ubiquitous and support comes from every part of the globe. On-Site is truly a global business and translates techno-talk into English. From outsourced services in India to a single PC, On-Site bridges the technology gap.
